MUSIC COMPETITION #8 :

WIN A GIG AT STANDON CALLING 2009 !

Stranger Than Paradise have confirmed details of the Prize for this Summer's 8th Carbon Logic Music Competition.

Guest Judge, Miss Manray, will select one artist from carbon logic's ten track shortlist to play at this year's cosmic Standon Calling Festival in the UK (31st July - 2nd August 2009).

Stranger Than Paradise's very own CCCP Cosmonaut Training Center at this year's Standon Calling promises to look and sound like what the world might have been if the Russians had won the space race. Expect space-camp electro, soviet cossack disco, cosmonaut rock and beyond ! The carbon logic WINNER will play the Galileo Stage alongside the likes of neo-retro alliance Russians, the Gagarin Brothers.

Deadline for submissions is 10TH JULY 2009.

The 9000 - "Freak Machine" SINGLE (Slipped Disco):

The 9000 were carbon logic runners up in 2008 for their track "Freak Machine".
Fresh off the back of their XFM hosted City Showcase in London, The 9000 are releasing "Freak Machine" on 25th May (Slipped Disco Recordings). Their video for the track is full of the same squelch as Freak Machine, this time translated onto the faces of their fans, quite literally.
The 9000 are previewing 2 new tracks, "Rumbaflex" and "Bumph", here on our good ship logic.

Davem - "Autumn" EP (spontanMusik):

German net-label spontanMusik's newest import is Davem from Italy. His "Autumn EP" is full of acid bleeps, detroit pads and alien speech snippets backed by blasting kickdrums. Pure class from where we're standing and in spontanMusik's own words "guaranteed partyfun". Download it for FREE below !
