MIX 4 - DUSKKY

To celebrate the Grassroots release Duskky (Producer of Tippy from the Grassroots LP) has delivered his 'Dubfunk' Mix, a 40 minute trip (and we mean TRIP) through a very particular vein of Dubstep as witnessed at the current Mothers Against Noise nights at Corsica Studios (London).

"This mix is a trip through a certain vein of the Dubstep spectrum which myself and some of the other Mothers Against Noise boys have been referring to as 'Dubfunk'. Broadly speaking this consists of a Dub-wise approach to atmosphere and sub pressure combined with break-beat lead patterns and grooves. This is only really scratching the surface of a broad style, but gives a fairly good impression of my interests at the moment both as Producer and DJ."

MIX 3 - P45

We first heard P45 from his uploads (2029 and Cockroach) during the Grassroots competition.
His mix has an intriguing and unusual approach. Dextrously transcending genres he uses multiple layers of micro-loops and samples to build a captivating wall of sound.

You can catch P45 at Bloc Festival 2010, Hyp!Hyp!Hyp! (London), Room 237 (Leeds) and numerous other shows in and around Europe.
