Music Editor
Alan O’Connell is an award-winning sound engineer, producer and music editor based in Ireland.
Beginning his career as an engineer for Paul Epworth, Erol Alkan, and Ivan Smagghe, Alan later served as Mark Ronson’s personal engineer for four years and as Converse Europe’s lead sound engineer, working across prestigious studios, including Abbey Road, RAK, and British Grove.
With extensive experience in orchestral recording, Alan has worked closely with composers such as James Righton and has engineered sessions for Max Richter and Brian Eno. In 2021 he produced, mixed, and presented the music edit for Hedy, a short film that won the Venezia Award.
Alan has just completed the build of his new studio in Sligo, Ireland, specialising in music editing and film/music production.
